Product Description

Betamethasone 0.07% Hydroquinone 4%
Kojic Acid 4% Tretinoin 0.05% Ascorbic Acid 2% in Nourivan AntioxTM Cream 50g

Instructions

  • Apply to clean dry skin one to two times daily or as directed by your doctor.
  • Depigmentation occurs after 3-4 weeks of application and may last up to 2 to 6 months after cessation of therapy. Treatment should be continued for at least 3 months.
  • Skin should be protected from sunlight to reduce re-pigmentation.
  • Avoid contact with eyes: Hydroquinone should NOT be applied to abraded or sunburnt skin. It should not be used to bleach eyelashes or eyebrows. Contact with the eyes should be avoided as it may produce staining and corneal opacities.
  • Regular medical follow-up is essential: every 3 months for patients with darker complexion and every 6 months for lighter skin types.

Precautions

Exogenous Ochronosis
This cream contains hydroquinone, which may produce exogenous ochronosis, a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin, the occurrence of which should prompt discontinuation of therapy. The majority of patients developing this condition are Black, but it may also occur in Caucasians, Meditteranean and Hispanics.

 

Cutaneous Reactions
Local irritation, such as skin reddening, peeling, mild burning sensation, dryness, and pruritus may be expected at the site of application. Transient skin reddening or mild burning sensation does not preclude treatment. If a reaction suggests hypersensitivity or chemical irritation, the use of the medication should be discontinued.

Avoid medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics with drying effects, products with high concentrations of alcohol and astringents, and other irritants or keratolytic drugs while on this treatment. Patients are cautioned on concomitant use of medications that are known to be photosensitizing.

Adverse Effects

More common:

  • Redness,
  • peeling,
  • drying,
  • itching, or burning of the skin

Less common:

  • Darkening of normal skin colour
  • irritated skin
  • rash

Incidence not known:

  • Blistering, crusting, or flaking of the skin
  • burning and itching of the skin with pinhead-sized red blisters
  • lightening of normal skin colour
  • redness and scaling around the mouth
  • severe redness, soreness, or scaling of the skin
  • thinning of the skin with easy bruising

How We Handle Them:

Change of Mind

  • If you've had a change of mind about an item you have ordered, we'll need to receive it back to us unopened and unused, in the original packaging.

Faulty Item

  • If the item you have received is faulty, please contact us with a detailed description of the product fault, alongside a photo if possible.

Allergic Reaction

  • In the rare instance you've had an allergic reaction to a product, please discontinue use of the product immediately. We may reach out for further information on the reaction.

Allergy returns must be less than 20% used upon arrival back to us.

Incorrect / Damaged Items

  • If you have received an item that isn't what you ordered, or it arrived damaged, please take a photo and contact us within 7 days of delivery. 

Please don't dispose of the item without informing us.
